Just looking for any info I can find and sugestions. I found or was told it was a 1979 bonito open bow with a 78 85hp johnson motor for $2000. on the outside hull and trailor look alot newer but inside needs redone but everything works. Its been sitting awhile and not super clean at all. Im thinking of offering $1200-$1300 for it. Sugestions welcome on if I should go for it or stay away from it. I cant seem to find any info on the net about them. Also it has a standard 6 gal gas tank im guessing it came with one built in thats gone bad. Also NADA says these boats were made from 84-88 is that corect? design of the inside makes it look older but condition of outside and overall look make it seem like it could be a mid 80's boat. THanks for any info.

They lost a court case in 88 or so and went out of business. Evidently they were a knock off company.

I had a small '88 Center Console. It was a lightly made boat.

a friend got a 70's looking tri-hull bonito boat. It's got a rotting transom, rotten floor and I'm wondering what the stringers are going to look like....

I once owned a 1980 Bonito tri-hull bowrider with a 70HP Evinrude. It was a great boat, but had a short life. During the late 90's the wood floor started rotting out and one day developed a hole! The entire floor needed replacing, so that's when I got rid of it.
