Re: Book on Props?
No need to buy a book or CD. There is more information on props on the web than you can read in a lifetime. Just Google or Yahoo search on "Marine Propeller Theory" , "Marine Propeller Basics", "Marine Propeller Selection" "Marine Propeller Design" etc. The terms, diameter, pitch, rake, cupping, slip, number of blades, propeller material (aluminum, stainless steel, bronze) are all characteristics of propellers so you can also do searches on just those characteristics. Once you understand the basics, do a search for "marine propeller calculator". Using that calculator you can see the effects of changing various propeller characteristics and how they might affect performance.
