Re: boots&bellows

just in case i missed it wat motor leg ???

Belows is usually the rubber bit that goes from the leg to the transom, under the hinge, you gotta take the leg off to change it cause the drive shaft etc goes thru it. if its a stern drive that is.

Re: boots&bellows

Let the pro's do it. I've done it and it sucks.
I had some professional help and without that I would have been screwed. If you don't get the bellows sealed properly or pinch one or not position a clamp right and wear through one you will be motoring on the bottom of the lake. If I'm wrong about that I can stand to be corrected.

Re: boots&bellows

Any leg off is not for the faint hearted, but depends like most things on skill and knowledge level. Best advice is get advice, check the manual, get pro advice then decide if it is doityourself or not. Still dont know wat belows we are talkin about, warrenty stuff normally requires a professional to do in order to honor warrenty, general maint stuff should not have the same complexity you would think. Any bit that keeps the inside dry and outside wet should be checked with care.
just tryin to assist with ideas
