I had problems last time I took out black max 150. it ran for a mile - mile and a half then lost power .. would barly Idle .. pulling its self along was all it could do with the choke "injector" ingaged. Just aboe idle .

I have spark

I have even compression 120

I rebuilt the fuel pump

so I pulled the carbs and found one pair of Bosen reeds burned but not clear thru.. and others dont seem to be seating real well .. I really was expecting to finde a pair or two broken.

So I am going to clean the carbs and new reeds .. After that I Am at a loss!

Fuel delivery, like fuel pump, or blown hose, or plugged pickup screen.
Or water in the fuel.

reeds would make it not idle, or idle rough. Wouldn't make any difference at speed if they were totally missing.

hope it helps

Re: Bosen reeds

I know you said you have spark, but your stator has both a high speed and low speed circuit. If the high speed circuit fails, you will only be able to run at idle or just off idle. Be sure if your fuel system rebuilding does not cure the problem to follow the repair procedure for checking the stator circuitry and also the other ignition components like the switch box and trigger.
