:) Hi everyone. It would be ironic to just go down the line on repairs to this boat. However as a good mechanic during the best years in the sevice, all I did was fix problems and kepted vehicles rolling.. The boat was something I went and purchase since someone had brought the bass boat on Craig list this December...and brought this 1977 boston whaler which needed a home and kind of down. I had it in the water three times since and evrythig seemed okay till it sat for two weeks when the weather drop some. I notice it was giving me a hard time starting and I found a bearing clamp missing on the trottle which sould not be a difficult repair. It didn't work. It then started to chock more and flywheel stop spinning. My troubleshooting skill are pretty good and I began with the batteries and fuel mixture, spark okay solonold click however flywheel stopped cold...I then began the disassemble procedures like the started and sure enough I,m depending on it....It be a little while before I receive it however it's my bestsolution at the moment, since all the bushing and spings were all falling apart...and my spouse is awaiting a second test drive..............Maybe someone has a better recommendation?

Thanks,

Yes, there is probably a bad connection. There may have been nothing wrong with the old starter. Start with the battery terminals, and go through and clean up every connection, including where the negative side bolts to the block.

Today my problem been resolved .. yes the starter was bad the bushing and spring were burn pretty bad... and repairs can also be made.... so I'll keep it for further references or need... the starter was not seated properly and also scope at a few picture to note.. Now if I could just patch this little leak somehow I'll give it a try
