Re: boston whaler price

You can do a search for similar boats on Boattraderonline or Soundings or here on Iboat. I doubt that NADA would go back that far for selling prices. The 15 HP Suzuki sounds too small to be the main engine on a 16.5 Whaler so you'll have to discount the price on the engine or sell seperately (you may actually come out better by selling boat and engine as seperate items). What's the boats condition, type (Center console, etc) and where are you located?

Hmmmm. I got this 40 year old woman for ya. Ya wanna marry her?

Need pix and more info, GCF.

There are '66 Whalers (need model) worth several Kilobux and there are some that should be towed away free.

Go to bucvalue.com You can look up the basic used price for any boat. Just type in the variables. You'll see pretty much exactly what your boat is worth.

Your best bet to get prices is to get a copy of Boat Trader magazine for your area available at most convenience stores. Boat prices tend to be very seasonal and location dependent. You didn't indicate where you are.

You will have a better chance of getting your price, whatever you set it at, if you clean it up and replace the missing saeats. It does not present well in the pictures.

I would say about 1000 dollars with a trailer would be about right. If you don't have a trailer then subtract a little bit from that.

Re: boston whaler price

why so little it unsinkable is it just because of the leaves that are in the boat

I sorta agree with AJ ... around a $1000 to $1500 is about right and it's not because there are leaves in the boat ... that's simply about what used boats of that size go for on average.

Depending on your location and boat brand/motor brand, the value might vary some, but not a whole lot. I don't know where you are, so I can't crank your location in as a consideration.

I'd pay $350 to $400 just for the motor. That's a little more than it would average for, but I just happen to be a little Susuki freak. Around here, I'd expect to pay $100 to $150 for the trailer and maybe $500 to $700 for the boat.

Then, too, it's worth what someone will pay you for it :)

There's a rig very similar to yours (BW, Trailer, 35Hp motor) in excellent condition that has been setting with a "For Sale" sign on it since last April. The guy wants $3000 for it and it hasn't sold yet and it's on the road leading to the water and two popular marinas.

Re: boston whaler price

You can always ask any price you wish, GCF and see what happens.

Just remember that there are two prices on any item and you have to decide if you really want to sell it or not. Asking what it's worth to YOU might not be what it'll actually bring.

But ... if you decide to sell the items separately, I would definitely be interested in the Suzuki.

The boat is a good brand, but I like my wee aluminum skiff too much to switch. For the fishing I prefer, it gets me into the shallows off the Intracoastal just fine.

Good luck to you, however.
