I bought my daughter a kitten today, and suprised her with it. She is only 3, but you should have seen the look on her face, when I gave it to her. Make a big ol boy like me turn to mush. She was so happy and she loves this little cat. He is orange and tiny.<br /><br />We need help coming up with a name, and my daughter will be reading this with me so please be nice.<br /><br />

good deal! our 3yr old loves our cat too. he is easy going enough to let her try to pick him up, feisty enough to swat you for tickling his back, but smart enough to only 'playbite'...<br /><br />she named him "butterscotch" due to the colors <br />she is @ 2mos older than he. he's a minx. this is a pic of him layin on his fav rug in the garage one eve. <br />

nathan she will never forget this tiny piece of joy my oldest who is 34 now and a fam. of her on has given her first born a dog and she has had it for two yrs now they are inseaperatable. and she will come up with a name for it no matter what you call it.

I can't think of a name for an animal that does not come when you call it anyway I will ask my wife and daughters for a suggestion though. I have to ask here though just to make sure I read it correctly. You bought a kitten? Why? I have never bought one in fact most people around here will pay you to take one. J/K good luck with the new addition to the family. I hope it is at least as good as the ones my daughters have had.

Yea, I was wondering that myself...Buy a cat?<br /><br />Our cat is expecting...poor little thing is miserable too! She'll hops up in your lap and almost begs you to rub her belly. The little invaders are really kicking the heck out of her.<br /><br />Heck, I'd give you some kittens if we have any left over. We plan to keep a few of them, and give away the rest.<br /><br />Anyway....I always let pets name themselves. They have a way of doing that.<br /><br />My 2 cents...<br /><br />H.

Well my daughter named him Cheetoh. Cause he is orange I guess, no point in even asking a 3yr olds reasoning on this one.

Cheetoh, thats a good name.He wont get alienated<br />when hes out with other cats.We just had a litter<br />of kittens here about 7 weeks ago. Most of them<br />are spoken for. Anybody need a cat!!

They make good trott line bait. Just kidding I care for a colony that lives in the woods behind my house. 250lbs of cat food a month. You should see the looks on peoples faces at Wal-mart. Does any one else here do this sort of thing with cats? If you do is there any kind of cat food that is a higher quality that is also affordable cause a last count I'm feeding about 60 cats. They like the wally world food but it gives them the squirts

I am fundamentally a dog person, but after living in the country for years, with a very healthy population of field mice around, I never regretted getting a cat. None of the storebought traps or poison or any other control measure I could find could compare to that cat. She was a killing machine.<br />And the cat in very short order explained the situation with my golden retriever. When we first got the cat, the golden and the cat were staring each other down for a few seconds a few feet apart, and then the cat lifted one paw, extended the claws, and made a slow swiping move as if to tell the dog--leave me alone, or that will be your muzzle under those claws.<br />Dixie, my golden retriever, wisely left the cat alone after that.
