Picked up 6 plugs today for my Merc 150 XR6. Got a good deal 3.29ea but at the shop they had put them in a motor--but never been fired--I guess somebody decided they didn't want them. Reason I say they hadn't been fired is they have zero residue, discoloration. Does anyone think this was a good deal/idea? Do shops do this very often (put plugs in and take out without firing?

Marine spark plugs are available at lots of automotive parts stores. You can usually get them for $2 each. Marine stores will charge at least 50% more.

thanks for the replies--this type of plug they don't have around here at napa or the other parts stores--that I found around me (although they probably could order them) I wish this type of plug was 2 bucks

Re: Bought new-used plugs?

Here in the UK so called marine plugs are expensive.

However put the number into eBay and they are 1/4 of the price, genuine NKG too! Or call into a motor-factors and order them, sill 1/4 of the price, eBay is easier.

Either way there is a few days wait, but so good! BTW I buy my Honda lawnmower plugs the same way..........
