So, I'm kinda looking at a 1987 Proline Walkaround. It's got a bracket with a 115 horse Merc outboard. Sounds a little underpowered for a 24 footer. I have a Force 150 I could put on there, or even two Force 125's. Anybody know how I can determine what weight and HP that bracket will hold?

Owner just texted me to say the bracket is rated for 200 HP. Any advice?

If I remember correctly, the 24 ft Proline holds up to 235 HP motor. Not too sure if Force 125s and Force 150 will be enough.

To confirm Transom strength numbers, I'm sure Proline Tech Support can confirm. re: http://www.prolineboats.com/_Contact_Us.html

Hope this helps - somehow.
