I have a Karavan trailer and recently had 10" drum brake cylinder fail ... one side sized other leaking fluid.
Stripped, significant salt water corrosion ... reassembled and working for now.
I have ordered spares :
http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=74053&pdesc=10_Wheel_Cylinder&cname= Brakes-Hub&aID=26C&merchID=1009&r=view
The issue I found (root cause) is that the rubber boot over end of cylinder had splits in them, allowing salt water ingress.
Does anybody know if I can get spare boots ... happy to buy a pack of 10 or similar.
I would then change the boots with annual hub/brakes service.
These boots must be cheap ... and as I live in UK, would happily change them annually to avoid cylinder failure again.
If it helps ... part No. on rubber boot is XH 3801 - 3502045
On the cylinders there is the initials AGP.
Any help appreciated.
