I just replace the brake switch on a 94 nissian quest on advice of a friend because it was blowing thre brake light fuse. It cured the problem but now the front brakes seem to be applied slightly all the time . Is there a connection to the switch and the problem or is it just bad luck?
Im no mechanic just someone trying to save a buck.

I assume you're talking about the switch mounted above the brake pedal to activate the tail lights. If this assumption is correct I don't see any possible connection between the two symptoms.

Coincidence maybe?

The brake switch does interact (electrically) with the ABS system.

An ABS proportioning valve may no longer be "centered".

I THINK i FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!!!It seems I placed it just far enough to the petal that it actually applied the brake slightly. I backed it off and im gonna try it out today.
