Need more info. What was the old motor? What rpm was it turning? What's the new motor? If youre going to a 4 blade, a jackplate is a good idea. Which do you have? A manual or hydraulic? What kind of boat?

Re: bravo 2 prop

this is on a 27 ft cruiser, my old motor was a 260 hp 350 cu in mercruiser, 2 bbl, bravo 2 , it was rated at 260 hp at the crank, 210 at the prop. it turned 4200 rpm with a 17p 18 in alum 3 blade prop. i think the old engine was tired. the new engine is a 383 cu in fuel injected motor, from mercruiser, 360 hp at the crank, 325 at the prop. i have had the old prop repaired, it had chunks out of 2 blades, and also bought a 18 in 18 p 4 blade stainless Steel prop... any opinions?

This is a total guess, but if I had a 21 pitch 3 blade, I'd try it first.

Really gonna need to know the recommended RPM. Is this a "crate" motor from Mercruiser? the new 6.2L?
