Hi all,
I recently picked up a Bravo 3 and I want to do a full 300 hour service on the outdrive and motor. I see the mercruiser kit is over $600 and comes with an anode kit, seals, shift cable, and transom repair kit. The transom repair kit comes with bellows, gaskets, etc.
However, this kit looks like it has most of the parts needed: https://www.amazon.com/YiheoZux-8M0...awk-30-803100T1/dp/B0B9L1LNW1/ref=sr_1_1_sspa
It's missing a few things... anodes, seals, shift cable. But By combining the above kit with these three items/kits, I think this covers everything needed for a full Bravo 3 service:
1) Lower Shift Cable Kit
2) Seals
3) Anodes
So I have two questions:
1) Has anyone tried to assemble their own service kit from amazon parts? Doing so would save like $400
2) Am I missing something about these kits? I feel like it has all the parts, but maybe there's something that I'm not seeing. My drive is off a 1998, if that matters.
Anyone been here? Thanks
