I have a four winns H240 with a mercruiser 350mpi and a bravo 3 drive:). I am not sure what the final drive ratio is. I am looking to take the boat up to altitude of 7000. I would like to be able to pull skiers and have some fun driving around. Any suggestions on what size from I should be trying. Thanks for the help.

What altitude do you normally run at? What are your WOT RPMs there? What is your current propset?
If you are propped correctly at sea level, you need to drop at least one propset (meaning if you have 26s now, you'll need to go down to at least 24s).

Re: Bravo 3 at altitude?

1" less pitch for every 2000ft seems to work out quite well.
If you are set-up for sea-level now, 24's may be the best choice over-all, but your hole-shot will not be near as good at 7K.
My figures show 22-23 would be the ultimate choice if you want to keep good hole-shot at 7K.
BTW, if that's the 300HP set-up, you'll be getting a Max HP of about 230 at 7000ft above sea-level....if that gives ya an idea as to the power loss.

Re: Bravo 3 at altitude?

thank you for the info. It gives me a great starting point as to what prop to try. the dealer I talked to said I could try a prop and see how it works. If I don't like it and don't bang it up any then they would trade it out for another if needed. Can't wait for the lake to open up for spring (only 4 more weeks till boating season)!
