I need help determining the correct kit to rebuild the trim cylinders. Is it hard to do?

I have a Bravo II serial # 0k096574
Engine is 5.7LX 0k009206

Thanks in advance,

I would guess that depends on why you are rebuilding it. If it's just a leak, I would guess the seal kit would be enough, unless the rod is damaged or the end cap is corroded.

The overhaul kit includes includes parts 1 thru 19, the seal kit only 12 thru 19.

Guys, thanks for the response.

How can I tell if there is corrosion, just simply looking at the cylinder cap?

The trim is very hard for drive to go up and down, almost not moving.

Yes. Are you sure the pump isn't the problem? Maybe low pressure? Does the oil in the reservoir look milky?

Are you seeing leakage as Don mentioned or is it just hardly moving but not leaking?

When my Maxum seemed to start struggling a bit and making some noise going up and down, I just cleaned the exposure ram really good then coated it with Grease and worked it a few times, that seemed to solve the issue. Maybe your is worse.

In addition to the parts/kit Don mentioned, you'll either need to buy, make or borrow a tool to take the end cap off.

I don't see a leak, it's hardly moving. The mechanic worked on the drive last week, and I asked him and he said is the seals inside.
