Bravo III Anode Selection

I need some help determine the best anode selection for my Bravo III outdrive. Mercruiser recommends Magnesium for fresh water and Aluminum for salt water. 90% of my boating is in fresh water (with brief periods of very small salt water intrusion - draught conditions) and 10% in slight brackish water.

What should I use, Magnesium or Aluminum?

[colour=blue]Magnesium. Give it a very good clean after saltwater use and inspect magnesium anodes - they still 'sacrafice' in saltwater.

Magnesium actually sacrifices too much in salt water and is not recomended for salt water use at all.

The aluminum indium alloy anodes are less reactive than magnesium but more acive than zinc. They are also self cleaning and is why Mercruiser reccomends them for all their drives in both salt and fresh water.
