Bravo III free play

This Bravo III has lots of free play with no steering wheel movement. Is this most likely the swivel pin needs to be replaced? Or can the actual gimbal ring wear to the point where that needs replaced? Which is more common?

Get someone to move the drive itself back and forth through just the play and just look at what moves and what doesn't move. Then you will know where the movement is from.
