BRAVO NOT SHIFT INTO FORWARD OR REVERSE!!!! Help

This question is about stern drive Yamaha (1992) 3.0 L4, dock and my shifter seemed to bind up a couple of times then it would not shift into forward or reverse.
I unhooked the cable and tried to manually shift in with no luck.

I pulled it out of the water, checked the cable and it was connected and moved just fine.


I really don't know what's going on. Can someone try to help me solve my problem?

you do realize you have an antique drive with very limited support.
