Bravo3 lower unit casing replacement

It looks like the corrosion of my lower unit casing is much more significant that I originally thought and I'll need to replace it. I've watched a couple of videos on taking a Bravo3 lower unit apart but haven't seen too many on putting one back together - original gears/shafts in new casing.
Question - does the lower unit go back together relatively simply or does it require a lot of specialty tools and equipment? From one video, the drive shaft roller bearing dropped out easily - are they difficult to reinstall or would they need to be replaced?

Special tools and outdrive service manual. Else, you will probably fail.

I have the manuals. And a few of the tools - I was planning to just replace the seals and the carrier bearing but when I went to remove the drain plugs i noticed more of the casing flaking off. I noticed I have some rust forming on my drive and prop shafts so I just gave the a good coat of WD40. Here are better pics of the casing:20220830_083102.jpg20220830_083206.jpg

This pic shows more issues, agree and replace it
When back together, check your Mercathode operation

The casing is trashed. I am wondering if it may be easier all around to just buy a used outdrive?

How does the upper unit look?

Agreed

My buddy had same corrosion issues on his B3, replaced lower housing, had a mercathode on the drive/ gimbal, added a second one with transom pucks seems to cure the issue

The anodes are on the drive, I was talking about the opposing current that the Mercathode puts out. The current needs to be at the voltage to stop the corrosion
