Ok, guys, this is my second post this week, you all were able to help me fantasticly with the last problem. here is what I have. I have a 1979 skitique by correct craft. The engine is a ford 302 with a 4 barrel holly carb. The boat runs great! The only problem is, when you get up to around 30 mph or so, it starts cutting out real bad and eventually dies. Cruising at lower speeds seem to be fine. Here is what I have discovered, there is a breaker on the engine with a red button you push to reset it. If I bypass that breaker, no problems at all. I ran it at 38 mph for about 5 minutes straight, with out a single issue, ran perfect! So, can anyone tell me what the problem is, maybe what that breaker is protecting? I really don't want to keep it bypassed incase it damages something else. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Russ, I am not a Mechanic and do not claim to be, and it is rare, but it could be the breaker is bad. Test it with an OHM meter. If it tests ok, then I'm sure one of these guys will give you the info you need as to what it is protecting, and the next step to take.

Just one of GodsBeast's
