I guess his "tiny bubbles" finally burst. I think I remember the news reporting last year that he was in bad health but was supposed to recover. He rode the top of entertainment business for a lot longer that I ever thought he would. Fashioned a long career off of one song.

Sad news indeed. He had a talent for raising a smile in the grumpiest of us. That's a pretty cool legacy to have. :cool:

He was a regular attraction in Waikiki when I was homeported at Pearl during my Navy years.The tourists ,especailly the older women loved him.A true Hawaiian legacy.As I recall he was quite the drinker.
