Still wont be like the old bump and run since it's been repaved........ I sure hope it's a decent race......... Haven't heard anything about testing. Haven't looked either, which doesn't help.....

See now, I disagree with that. Second race last year, they ground a little of the progressive banking off. Groove actually moved lightly up, but it is single again. You get freight trained if you are on the bottom and the bump and run returned. We will see, but I was amazed how the old Bristol returned, albeit with a new line . . .

Yep, the groove moved up, no doubt. Still not the same....... But we'll see, looking for a good show..... Caught a little bit of Nationwide practice.

The Spring race? I remember the fall race as being great because the single groove returned. Haven;t check on that. I could be all wet.

Re: Bristol..........

I see the Nationwide race is called the Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chip 300. Really? I understand, if you have enough money anybody can sponsor a race. But, its starting to sound like one of the hundred college football bowl games........

Of course, Shubby has the pole and broke the track record at 14.8114 seconds.

This had to hurt...

Re: Bristol..........

Bristol Motor Speedway's website is easier to get the schedule info than at Nascar.com....which really sucks now!

Why do these people do this crap to websites and make them harder to navigate? More pages to visit so more hits for the sponsors?

Jayski is good and I knew him online from far back before his website was big, early fantasy racing page and about 50 of us on it, but then ESPN bought his site...

I met a lot of the Speedway and Nascar top dogs and even met and shook hands with Bruton Smith and Humpy Wheeler while working on the LVMS Neon Garage and Media Center but I could care less about what Denny Hamlin said... it seems like the websites and media coverage is becoming more like wrestling. I guess that I should not listen to it on XM and just turn the TV on at the green flag!.. Pressure relief vent closed now.

Jayski is good
That's where I get green flag info. He's really into Twitter now to the detriment of the site, but still probably the best NASCAR site I have found.

I should have said Jayski is the best, as I always end up there for info....racingreference.info is also a great site.

EDIT: dang keyboard.

Yeah, Jay is not the best at the graphic side of things. He's good enough that ESPN bought him though. Here's the main page for Sprint Cup: Jayski's? NASCAR Silly Season Site - NASCAR Sprint Cup News Page

I look at this every day, and get most of my NASCAR news here. He has made a living out of doing this. Mostly all alone from his house. See what we could do if we'd just get off of this forum!!  :D

Dang I wish he had got to Shrub. No matter what you think of Shrub, beating him is a serious statement. Yeah, I like Larson too. Seems like a real story developing there.

Running second at Bristol against shrub also says a LOT about his abilities.

If he just looked like he was old enough to drive

I totally agree. Shrub may be the best driver out there as far as car control. With him it is more about emotions and patience or he would have at least one Championship in Cup.
