Some how the pivot bolt twisted off in my 1997 Mariner 4hp. The piece still left in the motor is deep in the threads - I suspect at the end of the inner portion of the threads. My only thought is to try to EZ out using some kind of sleeve to protect the threads still showing. I have the "handle" piece and it looks like it sheared at the end - The weird thing is that the pivot (motor) is completely free moving now, but the broken piece is stuck tight. The end of the bolt inside the cavity must have corroded - or else been flawed because I didn't notice it ever "snapping" in my hand.

anyone have any other ideas on what's happening here?

Help???

Additional...
I read about someone else breaking/replacing a pivot bushing - does mine have it? I have a manual on the way, but I couldn't help asking - just found this list today. Looks like a pretty good source of knowledge.

Thanks,
Gregg
