I recently acquired a boat that had been sitting in the weather for a few years. While digging through the leaves in the bottom, I discovered a good looking trolling motor.
Immediatly I connected to a battery and found that it did not work. Prop would not freely turn, so i forced (gradually) loose. Long story short, I found that one of the magnets inside had broken into several pieces. Over the past few days I have been jb welding each one back into place into the housing. I just re-assembled and to my surprise, it worked! I am wondering if it is possible to purchase these magnets to replace as I am leary of my repaired ones breaking off?
Thanks,
Brandon

Re: broken magnet in trolling motor

Most companies no longer sell such parts for home repair. Check with the Mfgr.
