This weekend i had a little accident which is upsetting, but im going to buy parts and fix asap! my DP-A suspension fork cracked in half at the top by the water inlet and at the bottom as well, what happened is after sitting in a cove for awhile i reved the motor a few times and the third time was to about 1800 rpm, then WHammm! it popped into gear somehow, i got back into nuetral and went into gear and reverse fine, but i started moving then i had very little steering, so i put it on the trailer. a noticed the fork cracked pretty much in half!!! would that be a saefty thing , that breaking first so something else does or just bad luck because a new one is 825 bux:( got to pay to play..I also want to know what else i should check for in that area..bearings? seals? ect? while im in there doing the repair?

thanks mates

Ouch!
Nothing to do but fix it. It is obviously not safe to operate with no steering.
I don't believe the suspension fork was "designed" to break from popping into gear. If that is what you mean by a "safety thing"
In fact, I'm suprised that is what caused it to break.
You may be able to shop around for a used part or check marine salvage yards for one.
