I broke my little toe today. Yes I know its broke, you can feel it and I also heard it break. Just curious, is it worth going to the Dr. for. What will or can they do? Little bugger is starting to hurt!!!
.... if you end up having to take time off work, get that doc apointment made. <br /><br />short term disability usually doesn't kick in till so long after doc gives ok, not on when it happens. Don't knon what your line of work is or if that will affect you.
I was heading down the stairs to fast as usual...and just kinda rolled over it when it caught on the carpet. CRACK...I though oh that didn't sound good. Wish I had kicked something, at least I would have a good story to tell.
If you ever plan to wear shoes comfortably in the future, Neumanns, get it looked at.<br /><br />You may have actually broken the distal end of your 5th metatarsal. Only an Xray can tell for sure. If it heals incorrectly you are in for a lifetime of pain or barefootedness.<br /><br />Been there, twice, but had the good sense to get it treated. <br /><br />Good luck.
Strange but true, I broke my little toe on my left foot Friday too. Ive done it before, and there really isnt much doctors can do. Hurt like crazy for a couple days, didnt swell much, but my whole left side of my foot is black and blue!

Wife works tonight so I may take the kids up to see mom and have a quick x-ray...Depending on wich Doc is on. As for the taping, Think I'll handel that myself!!<br /><br />Boy this sure slow's a persons gait down.
Best to see the doctor for a suspect broken toe. The result if there's anything difficult about it (ie; sharp edge to the break, broken veins, infection, poor circulation, nerve damage) could be far more than you'd expect in the long run.<br />Ross
Ouch, Been there done that!! I had a little too much to drink one night and was chasing the wife to the bedroom, well my body made it through the door, but my little toe caught the door. Shoved the toenail clean back under the skin!! Wife just laughed at me. I was so embarassed about the whole thing, I didnt go to the Dr. for a couple of days. Then it got infected. It has all healed now. But I no longer have a toenail on that toe.
"Why do we even have a little toe It doesn't do anything."<br /><br />I had a freind that had his little toe taken off for some medical reason and he had to practically learn to walk all over again, at least with out limping. He couldnt beleive how much difference it made. So I guess God new what he was doeing when he created us!
