I was trying to disassemble my lower unit today to remove the prop shaft. I mistakenly thought everything under the water pump had to come out. I ended up breaking the tabs off of the water pump base. At least I think that's what it's called.... Anyways, after looking online for a replacement, all of the ones I found look different than mine, and don't have the tabs. That has me thinking that I can just leave mine alone. Is that correct? The number on mine is 46-812966 1. It's a 1994 Force 70 hp. The replacement seems to be 46-812966A 7. Here's pic of mine that I broke.
