I recently viewed a Bryant 19' bowrider, and was very impressed with it, especially when I watched their video on production of the boats. They state there is absolutely no wood anywhere used in the construction of the boat (not seat backs, floor, transom, stringers, etc!).
This is especially attractive in light of recently learning about all the problems with rot in glass boats.
I am wondering if this is a new concept in Bryant's manufacturing, or did it start with a particular model year ? Also, would luv to hear from any Bryant owners.

thanks,

Bowrider Bob

Bob, Check out trailerboats.com (forums)Joe Bryant posts there quite often very customer oriented. If you call the factory you most likely will talk with him. Customer is #1 with that company from what I have gathered from happy customers posts.
Good luck, Rob

Boatsrule,

Thanks for the reply ! I emailed the company, and Joe Bryant responded personally the next day. I am very impressed with these boats, and the factory is only about 25 miles from my house, if I ever have a problem. I really get the idea that customer satisfaction is their top priority.

bowriderbob

Re: Bryant boats/wood-free construction ?

I have owned a 1992 Bryant 200BBI since 1994. (1992 was not 100% wood free) I am very please with the boat and for a 10 year old boat (well maintained) it looks like new and I have spent $0.00 on maintenance other than regulary scheduled and things I screwed up. I had questioned my tachometer reading and Jim Bryant sent a replacement free of charge. I also ran into Jim at a Cincinnati boat show and asked him about Carmel colored water coming from the bottom of my bow cushions when wet, Jim stated "bring your wife down to Tennessee and take her shopping, drop the boat off at my shop and I will replace with fiberglass for free" I guess all service comes with a price, a new 1994 2000BBI sold for $17,500. They cost twice that now! Thanks for keeping my resale up Jim!!!! My only complaint, the hull to deck joint must not have been properly sealed or poorly engineered because I do get some water through the joint and hence get my side pocket items wet.
