Had to messarge it in there but it works awesome.. lol 14.5 after a few minutes of run time.. 35amp don't take long to recharge all my batteries.. It hits the cowling a little but the fish don't care and niether do I.. it works.. got the belt from McMaster Car, 13.00 and the Alt. from ebay 35.00 done... cMaster Car, 13.00 and the Alt. from ebay 35.00 done.. lol

At one time I used to joke about putting one of those wee car ( japanese ) alternators on these motors.-----Now someone has done it.

Congratulations! That is an impressive retrofit! What was the output on the OEM flywheel alternator?
I never liked the fact that my 1986 Johnson 150 (J150TXCDC) flywheel alternator only put out 9 Amps. The same year J150STLCD put out 35 Amps. I wonder if I could swap out flywheels?

The 28 / 33 / 40 HP used to have a belt driven GENERATOR kit.----Would put 10 amp at full throttle.
