Hey guys I've been wanting to add a small swim platform on the stern of my glassmaster (port side). I've been looking on ebay and it seems that the little premade ones with teak or plastic or whatever run 80-150$. seems a little much.
I'm considering making one with some angle brackets and wood then adding a premade one or two step ladder on the back.
Anyone else built one from scratch?

The only thing that concerns me is the fact I would have to drill into the transom. Would screws hold, or would I have to thru bolt?
thanks guys

I'd also throw a rubber washer on right next to the transom on boath sides. With a metal one over it. ( Just a little cheap precation.)
