Bunk slides

I've seen poly rails screwed to wooden bunk boards on boat trailers but I'm looking for narrower strips to cover the narrow edge of 2x4s on my PWC lift.
A u-shaped cap would be preferred to a solid strip, so I don't need to put screws through the face of the plastic.

Does such a thing exist?

Don't overthink it. Your wood will rot from the ends if that is your concern.

It is ASSUMED that DIY people have all sizes of drills and Counter Sink drills.

Why the slids on something as small and light as a ski? I have steep ramps and last boat was about 5500 lbs is why I did it.

Beats me. More to protect the machine, I imagine. If it's useless I wonder why they all are covered.
Some new lifts advertise poly bunk boards that never rot.

So a solid bunk yes, never rot. If just a slick for ease of traile8ng not needed on a ski. 15 bucks of treated lumber ever 20 years will suffice.

Bare wood against the hull? Doesn't seem like a good idea.
This lift is several years old & is nearly worn out from nothing more than (its) lifetime of being jostled by wind & waves.
The same activity that will be wearing on the hull of a boat or jet ski.

Pressure treated wood left bare ?? Wet wood and chemicals in it can attack Aluminum bottoms. Cover the wood surface with something.

Ill stick with carpet and wood... I can see "stuff" getting embedded in the surface of a hard plastic bunk and scratching the hell out of the bottom of the ski or boat. Carpet at least has SOME measure of give to absorb such things. Not all of us boat in the cleanest of waters.....
