anybody know of any free software to burn cdg files + the matching mp3 files onto a CD-R to play in a karaoke machine?

I already have the files...just need to burn them together. All the trial programs I have tried want to sell you the full deal so they burn 1 minute of each song etc.... It can't be that complicated that I have to buy $40 software for one girls sleepover.... :) expensive enough already

Audio grabber does exactly the opposite of what I want to do - I already have the files on my hard drive...I want to burn them to a CD.

That ehow tutorial on burning cdg files to a CD is just wrong. putting the cdg files on a CD doesn't make them play in a karaoke machine. There is a process that needs to also put the .wav or mp3 files on the CD and synch them up.....

guess I gotta pay to play.

A cdg file is also known as a mp3+g. The g stands for graphics. I do not understand why you want to converge a mp3 with a mp3+g..."cdg".. file because the mp3 is already in the file. If the cdg files are burned to a cd in the previously mentioned ehow link, the karaoke machine will read and play them.

the mp3 is already in the file. If the cdg files are burned to a cd in the previously mentioned ehow link, the karaoke machine will read and play them.

the first line in that link:
A CDG is a simple graphics file that's most commonly used along with audio files.

must be my machine just doesn't like the way my burner encodes the CD or something. cdg files on a CD don't do anything on it, nor does a CD loaded with cdg. and corresponding mp3's

I have officially given up -too many attempts costing too much in blank CD's
