Buying a used boat with a 1999 200 HP mercury

Fellows,<br /><br />I'm planning a road trip this weekend to look at a used boat that has a 1999 200 HP mercury. Can anyone tell me about this motor. I belive it's a Carb not EFI. <br /><br />Thanks<br />Stoked not

Run a compression check while you are looking at it........ I am starting to believe the 200 is a problem motor. Just check the motor out real good. If compression is good, I would be willing to fix electrical and carbs.
