I'm looking into buying a 2014 Moomba Mondo with 195 hours on it.I was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about this boat and if this would be a good purchase.

ANY used boat should have a survey or at least an inspection by a mechanic.
Needs a compression test and a hull check.

Buying a boat is such a personal thing. Some want pontoon boats and just lumber down the lake others want a scream and fly to rip down the lake at 80 mph while others want a live aboard and don't even care if they leave dock.

I get what the OP is asking, he is asking if the Moomba is a good boat and at the end of the day that's what this forums does best. Get feed back from other boaters experiences :thumb:.

I've seen a lot of 'em out on the water. So, they can't be all bad.

With a 2014 though, it's all about condition. Hours seem low, so I'd check for signs of neglect. Other than that, if it's wakeboarding you're into and the boat's in good condition, it could be a good boat.

How do you plan to use the boat? If it's primarily for skiiing/wakeboarding, that kind of boat would be fine.

Thanks for all your responses,. The dealer is sending compression test results and they are taking a complete video of the boat for me. The boat is in North Carolina and I'm in Vermont. It's a 9 hour drive down and I'm nervous about getting there and the dealer is screwing me. I asked them to please be honest with me and they are working with me and answering all my questions. I was just asking everyone on this forum for any questions i could ask and how this could be a great boat for my family.
Thanks again
Anything can help with my purchase....

Buying a moomba

I have a question for everyone. Can anyone tell me why i shouldn't buy a 2015 surf edition 400 raptor mondo with only 120 hrs. The boat looks amazing and I'm willing to travel along way to get it. The dealership is really working with me on this boat. Please give me the good and the bad about this boat.
Thanks everyone

Dave Foster Please don't start new threads about the same subject. Use your original thread, this one. Most likely you will receive the same advise about any Moomba.

Going to try to modify the thread title slightly.

The Moomba is the same hull as the Supra wake boat but the fittings and finish are a bit cheaper. The Raptor motor gives good power and is a popular one. Comparing the Moomba and Supra you'll find things like the seat cushioning better on the Supra so you are more likely to 'bottom out' when you are in chop or crossing a wake. They both provide good wakes for boarding and surfing if you weight them well.
Generally it is a good family boat as the low swim deck makes hanging our it the water fun.Cruising is good after fully on plane and fairly economic up to about 35 mph, At higher speeds it will suck lots of gas and it won't go faster than about 45.
I suspect you should have a fair bit of leverage with a dealer as the economy right now is not going to provide them with the same number of customers they had last year.
