I bought a brand new 14.5x19p most recently. And I came across several used prop in new condition like for 1/3 of the price I pay for my new prop. I have a 4.3L OMC cobra. My question is how would I know it will fit my outdrive? The owner say it's 15 splines standard turn. I've found a Mercury and a Volvo Penta.

There might be someone here that knows off hand what may fit.
You could look up a 19" for your motor here and check the specs and sku number.
Then look up the Merc and Volvo.Do we know the diameter and pitch of the used props?
It could be tricky because we don't know the year and model of the Merc or Volvo.
I think some OMCs are 19 spline.

They are 14 1/2 x 19p, the exact same size as my original. I just need it as a spare since it's a good deal.

Just ensure that the seller is reputable and you get the option to bring them back if something is wrong. First of all you have to ask why is the used prop for sale? If just because someone wanted more/less pitch, different type or whatever fine. If it's because they dinged it up and it doesn't run true like a SS I bought once, looked great but vibrated horribly, then it's useless to you and you want to be able to get your money back.

HTH,
