Buying a used trailer

What are the standard questions/things to inspect when purchasing a used trailer? I have a 14' jon this trailer is 20' will it work with my boat and just from the pic is it worth $300 that the guys is asking?

Well I can't upload the pic buts it's quite rusted and is a "tandem" whatever that means but it's pretty wide looks like it's made for a large bass boat

A trailer of that size is way to big and will give a harsh ride with a light load like your jon boat. I'd look for a trail more suited to the size boat you have.

Tandem means two axles

Yeah that's too much trailer... Look for one about 16' and look for one that isn't rusty.

Will agree with the rest; too much trailer for the boat. The only good thing is the axles and tires are worth $300 apiece if they are decent. The trailer
I just bought for a spare is a tandem; but I have a heavier boat. Around here they are common. Good hunting for one without some rust at a decent price.
