This is a message going out to all do it yourselfers buying engine parts. DO NOT BUY FROM DOUGRUSSELMARINE.COM. IT IS A SCAM. They are so incompetent, they fouled up my order 3 times, i had to reschedule 3 times. they tried to sell me used parts for the same price as new. Double shipped items on my ticket so now i have to go through the hassle of sending it back and getting the credit for it, which i have to pay shipping for! BAD , BAD BAD BUISNESS. buyers beware. WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT WILL MAKE YOUR BOAT HEADACHE INTO A MIGRAINE!!!

I know they suck. I tried buying a flux capacitor and they sent it to 1985. I mean, really, my retarded brother could get that right.

Re: BUYING ENGINE PARTS

You know ry3100, all stores have screw ups occasionally, even here. I have used DR many times and never even had 1 problem. But I have used other sites and run into glitches such as you mention. It's not really the stores fault, its more about who is entering the info at the other end. You could have some ****ly faced teenage counter jockey oin a bad day and Voila! your order is screwed up. IMHO, i don't think you should comdemm a site or seller just cuz of a bad experience. Hell, haven't you ever go to Mickey D's and they got your order wrong? It can and does happen everywhere. Chill!!!!!!

Realgun: Some of us can drink a beer and some of us cant, most comments are made out of frustrations just as are reply's.

The whole idea of a beer is just to take a chill pill and relax a bit, put the whole conversation in to context 3 times for one order is pure incomptence if that stress's one, ohhh well it is what it is.

Sounds to me like a supplier is turning over skilled employee's just to justify a bottom line (or placing a burden on them that's unreal). Now if a consumer rants a bit in a public forum and it cost's the company a bit so be it. This is America, customer service goes with being in business and if you do not beleive in that then you do not belong in business.

It has made this country great, and this country is the world leader with no question. now if that stress's you out to get it right........... :D Go to some 3rd world country and accept paficsm......... ohhh im in trouble now.......... to much beer.... ;) you think that's crazy go to the prop forums and see if a few people in the know give a answer without less than accurate info.

well put tail gunner, what ever happened to good service? the customers always right? stay a little late to get the job done? It's just unbelievable the conversations i had with these people. 3 weeks for 2 push rods! and one was used that sold for the same price as a new one! it just doesn't add up

cheers

ry3100 It never feels good to be ripped off. Its worse when you know your being ripped off. Customer service is kinda out the window in the "I want it now" mentality. People also want the lowest price not the best service. If you feel bad about the store "YOU" are great to let us know.

Tail_Gunner you can watch my butt anytime. :)

Problems always happen. If you do enough transactions there will be one with multiple screw ups that seem to happen over and over.

What I find a good measure of a company is how they handle it once it is broght to their attention, and how high in the company you need to go to get that done.

Have you tried resolving it with top management? I have been successful in the past by calling in a polite and resonable manner the main number and asking for the owner or CEO. If the company is large enough you will never get them, but you will get someone who can take care of the problem.

Did this with a phone company once, got the administrative assistant and resaon prevailed after that.

Most people forget that as you go up the chain you are talking to someone for the first time, and they start talking to them in a hostile way. That is the time to take an approach that shows how calm you are and shows them that it is to their business advantage to handle problems.

Re: BUYING ENGINE PARTS

I ordered on line for parts over the winter, and recieved a major screw up. I won't mention any names here, but the company I did, and still do bussiness with starts with the letter "I" Is it Miller time yet?
