I've found some used 16' galvanized Dock Bows (pictured below) to put on my dock. My slip (pictured) measures 16' wide and 24' long. He is selling 6 dock bows, and I'll actually only need 5. What else beside purchasing a canopy and 2x4s to hold canopy I need to consider?

Also, he is asking $650 for the Dock Bows, is this a good price? How much should I plan on spending on the canopy and any other materials needed? Thanks!

$2k. Think Wind, Weight, Rust, Rot. If you can't find what you want you can go to a canvas shop and have them make you one to order. Not that expensive. There was/is? one in Dallas I used a couple of times. Very satisfied. They stock a variety of materials.

Before you start, get in your boat and run around to a few places and see how others did it and how it seems to be holding up. Remember wind is your enemy!!!!!!!
