so I began a seating mod, and it lead me to find some water damage in the floor or along the center fuel tank wooden frame and decking near it. So now I wish I diddnt start the mod and left the boat stock. Too late now..

so. This boat diddnt appear to have an ounce of water damage. It was sealed (obviously not) beneath a glassed in floor. If I was to buy another 20-30 year old boat what inspections or Things to look for, for hidden inside floor and stringer damage. Short answer: buy aluminum lol

A $500 marine survey should tell you the condition of the boat. A "moisture meter" can be used to determine if the wood beneath the deck is wet or dry.

The only "problem" is that you might have to spend $500 just to find out that you don't want the boat after all.
