Bare with me here. I just purchased my uncles 1984 Center Console Bayliner w/ a 125 force engine. This boat has not run in 5 years. I changed plugs, drained old gas, cleaned fuel filter and had rough running and stalled at idle. My friend a mechanic came over cleaned carbs, emptied and cleaned floats, plus took at the tuning screws on the carbs( whatever they are called) and cleaned it. put everything back together and the engine ran like a champ, better then it ever had. smooth idle, a little rough at high rpm, but figured it was missing some resistance from not being in the water. Today I put it in, fired right away idled smooth, ran great as I left the marina. Then cleared the chanel and decided it was time to let the 2 stroke do what they do best and go WOT. But she decided to go about 20 and couldn't break plane. Drove it 1/2 mile to my fathers canal. docked it and as it sat there idling a strange buzz started. I thought it was a weak air horn sound and figured the horn was malfunctioning. My uncle said no, and I have never heard that before, I said I think its the air horn , He said Nope I took it out, turned engine off and stopped. turned the key(not to run position and the buzz started. 5 minutes later I fired the engine and it was fine no buzzing. A couple hours later I took her out again made it 8 houses down the canal and buzzer started again this time with more then usual smoke . turned it around and docked it. Please help, I figure the buzz is a warning sound of sorts but have no manual, and the lack of power has me very confused. Thanks in advance for any info, Ian
