I purchased a used 1999 Yamaha 130 2strk, and had it mounted and rigged at the dealership with used controls. Two issues:

1. first the shift is not sharp, I had to adjust the cables so that when I shift out of forward into neutral it actually goes to neutral.
The shift is not sharp at the controls so it seems to grind if you dont do it fast. Is this a control box issue or a transmition issue? Should I buy newer controls?

2. I ran the boat twice yesterday for 20 mins about three hours apart? The gas is premixed 50:1, since I was informed at the dealer the oil pump was disconnected. The first run was good, good water stream, take off. Only issue is that the throtle wont hold at 5000 rmp it wants to go back down to 4000. The second run was fine untill return approx 15 min at 4500-5000 rpm, a lower tone alarm than than the ignition alarm. First it sounded at 1500 and would stop below that, then up to around 3000, but as we came in I had to keep it barely above idle (no faster) or it would sound. At the first alarm i checked the water stream, good strong and cool. The gas is mixed so it must be getting enought oil. My only guess is a sensor, or my controls. Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot would be much apreciated.
