I have a 1977 85hp Johnson. A buzzer has started going off, only when it is idling. It will go off. This motor does not have a tell/tell hose to if water is circulating. Any help would be appreciated. Water pump and thermostat have been replaced.
Did you install a complete kit with the new plastic housing / stainless parts ?---Are you sure water tubes are in the pump housing ?-----Did you use the 2 plastic guide tubes to get copper tubes in place ?------Are you testing in a bucket or with boat floating in the water ?-----Note----Most tell tales do NOT indicate that water is actually going through the block !
