I removed the four by-pass covers on the crankcase while disassembling a 1973 evinrude 135 hp. 3 of them look the same 1 is different. I do not remember what ones came from where. Does it matter if I put them back in the wrong spot. Could anyone give me any tips to figure out how to put them back in the right spots?

thanks

Re: by-pass covers

The one that is different has the special bracket to hold the starter solenoid, other than that, they all perform the same function. The odd one should be the upper starboard one.
