Bypassing Evinrude 40 hp VRO

I am looking to bypass my Vro . From what I understand I have to disconnect the wiring harness from the oil tank and also the wiring harness from the VRO Pump and plug oil line going into motor and premix my fuel 50:1 . The Vro I have now I use using a lot of oil and I concerned it will fail while I am running Also if I find it like the way it runs on premix is there a fuel pump I could install and remove the whole vro pump . Any advice would be appreciated.

Find the part # for a 48 HP model fuel pump , screws and gasket..-It did not come with VRO---That pump goes directly onto the side of the top cylinder with a gasket.---Remove the plug for access to the pulse port there.----Plug pulse port now used by VRO.---Re-arrange hoses as needed.
