Cabela Transom Saver

I was interested to know if anybody has bought a Transom Saver from Cabela's. I do not have a crossbar on my trailer to hook a normal Transom Saver too. My crossbar is up under the boat and not accessible to a normal transom saver. I got on Cabela's website and noticed they have a transom saver that extends up under the boat. Has anybody ever used one of these? Any input would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Okcsooners

OKCSOONERS <br /><br />There was a previous post about those not long ago and I believe they work well, if your situation allows. I also think that someone recommended turning the motor to one side and using a roller to attach one. No first hand experience, but if you can make it work, anything is better than nothing when it comes to supporting the motor...

OKCSOONERS,<br /><br />(Off Topic) We will be going to the Red/White game as well. Hopefully one of the QBs will put me at ease. We keep 'Sooner Spirit' at Lake Thunderbird and will be taking her for a spin prior to the scrimmage.<br /><br />(On Topic) We only trailer our boat a couple of miles, but plan on going to Murray on other nice lakes this summer. Does this transom saver solution work for I/O as well? Is there some other product that is made just to support the leg?<br /><br />SS182

(Off Topic) I believe it would work for your I/O. I am going to order one today off the internet and hopefully it will work for my application. We go to Ft. Cobb most of the time. Our favorite lake is Lake Keystone up by Tulsa. They have beautiful sandy beaches and its not usually very crowded. I have never been to lake Murray but I hope to get a chance to go there this summer. Let me know how the lake trip turns out this weekend. I have been dying to get out on the water. I am shooting for next weekend to go to Ft Cobb and see how the boat is running. Talk to you later.
