Mercruiser 470 with A1.
Is it possible to cut in a small heating radiator into the RW flow to heat the cabin when engine runs?
The problem is if the impeller will be able to push enough water thru it for the FW cooling?
Did anyone tried that?
Thank you.

It's best to use the antifreeze side for the heater. The raw water side doesn't get very warm and wouldn't provide any heat in the cabin.

You can hook it in where the water heater is hooked up.Charlie

put isolation valves in the hoses. so you can just shut them and keep going when, not if, the heater core corrodes through.

RW will work if it's fresh. Salt will kill it in a season. I've seen it done on lake boats, but even then it doesn't last more than a few seasons. FWC is the way to go, i have a 40,000btu heating my deck area.
