Cable Length

Greetings to all! Ive got a 1983 Glastron X19 openbow with a defective shifter assem. The shifter is a Mercry Marine Quicksilver 3000. Im trying to replace it but need to know the length of the cables. Does anyone know what this would have been or tell me how to measure the cables (ie. what point to what point)?

Ayuh,.... If yer extremely Lucky, ya might find the length printed on the casin',...

Otherwise, it's from End, to End,...
