hi all

i have a problem with my steering...the cable has come off the spindle(spline)i have rewound it round the spindle, its fine one way but when i wind it the other way it comes loose and tangles up......in the middle of the spindle you have the grooves that the wire runs backwards and forwards in but also going straight down the middle is a slot cut out right the way across it this is where i take it the cable has to go into?

Its not just a case of taking up the slack because when i have put it tight on the spindle it does the same thing. This is prob so simple i guess that im not seeing it clearly at all....so if anyone can give me some advise i would welcome it.

reguards codpiece (neil)

Re: cable steering

Coddpiece...I would unhook the motor and check to insure it is turning freely...if that's ok check the cable for wear or cracks in the coating...have someone hold tension on the cables while you turn the wheel and try to find the bind...if you find the motor is the problem you may have an easy fix with some routine maintenance...if you find a boogered cable or pulley just replace defective parts...just a Thought
