got my boat running today, it will crank over on first turn of switch. idles fine. not bad for free and setting up for 3 years. now my questions concern the lower unit. once again 88 glasstream 2.3 ford with omc super cobra. bought a set of the water muffs. put them on, looks like they leak more water out than they allow to go in. any way how much water should i see come out of the prop with these muffs. i am worried about this unit being bad or if not bad ruining it or the engine if not getting enough water. it also looks as if water is comming out of some small pin holes on the side. and in the rear theres also water shooting towards the boat out of an aluminum cover that looks like a horses foot. sorry but i dont know the names of all these parts. i watched the temp gauge. all it has is an c for cold and h for hot. no #s. i shut it off after it got past the half way point. this may do better if it was in the lake.
