Hey Bob, how close are you to them fires out there?<br /><br />Are they close to Encino(sp?)?

Good mornin' Spinner..........<br /> I am aproximately 400 miles north of Encino, but I am familar wth the area. Encino is located just north-west of Beverly Hills and just south-central of San Fernado Valley.<br /><br /> If you want to look it up on a California map, Encino is on Ventura Blvd, just west of Interstate 405 and less than a mile south of Hyw. 101. Interstate 405 connects with interstate 5, at the north end of San Fernando Valley. I-5 is the most major freeway thru California.<br /><br /> As far as I know, Encino hasn't had any problems, so far, but the Santa Monica Mountains are south of Encino. I don't know what the status of that area is at this time. Hyw. 118, where the fire jumped the road a couple of days ago, is between 5 and 7 miles north of Encino. Encino is a very small city and you might have to look on the "Los Angeles and vicinity" section of the calif. map. Hey Spinner....<br /><br /> From what I've found, it looks like Encino has been spared. Go to.....<br /><br />www.latimes.com/news/local/la-b-venstats,1,4688738.blurb<br /><br />This a current "fire map" of where your friends live. They are on the south end of the fire for that area and it appears they were uneffected. <br /><br /> ...Bob... "upwind"...

Man, those fires are such a tragedy. <br />I hope none of our good members,are affected by it.

Thanks Bob.<br />Like I said in another post, there are some people out there that I have not heard from since Monday and was just wondering.
